he European Youth Meeting for Sustainable Development 2011 will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, from 19 -24th July 2011. The Meeting is organised by an International Organisational Committee from 10 countries (UK, France, Holland, Italy, Belgium, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Turkey and Russia) and partners from 17 countries, on the theme of youth involvement in ensuring sustainable development examining questions like what role can and should young people and youth organisations play in efforts toward sustainability? The Meeting is open to young people closely involved in youth policy processes and sustainability issues in their organisations and countries, such as volunteers, leaders of youth organisations, youth researchers and youth workers from National Youth Councils, National and international NGOs.
All participants should:
*be aged between 15 and 35
*be ready to share their knowledge and experience
*be experienced in youth policy processes and sustainability issues
*be able to travel to Tallinn on the 19th of July and depart on 24th July
*be able to work in English, French or Russian
*fulfil the Code of Conduct of EYM2011 during the entirety of the Meeting
*be willing to actively contribute to the debates and committed to take part in the whole duration of the European Youth Meeting
The application deadline is Thursday, 31st March 2011 (12.00 pm CET). All participants must fill the e-application form or doc-application form, to be sent by e-mail to applications@eym2011.eu . Applicants must also inform James Higgins, Policy Officer for Health and Sustainable Development of their application in order to receive European Youth Forum support for the event.
